- Battleground Battlemaster's flavor text is a reference to the Arathi Basin battleground in World of Warcraft, where the opposing teams compete for resources generated by five capturable points: blacksmith, farm, gold mine, lumber mill, and stables.
- Battleground Battlemaster was a part of Patch 22.6.1.1.1.1, an April Fools 2022 prank, with the announced text change from "Adjacent minions have Windfury." to "Battlecry: Enemy spells cost (5) more next turn."
